Fire Noodle Eating Champs: The Dice Game!

Fire Noodle Eating Champs is an upcoming dice game I made that was funded on Kickstarter in under 3 hours reaching over 1477% of it's funding goal.

Face off in this portable, mint tin-sized, real-time dice battle to become the Fire Noodle Eating Champ!

Fire Noodle Eating Champs is a collaboration between tabletop game designer, Jason ToToTam, and video game developer, Wombok Games. Wombok Games created Fire Noodle Eating Champs the video game at the Game-A-Week Game Jam and showcased it at the Sabbatical Gallery. I played the video game at the event and I was inspired to create a tabletop game.

I used the skills I've developed over the years in the board games industry. I made some prototypes, took them to conventions, developed a crowdfunding campaign and held a launch party.

The game was successfully funded in under 3 hours on Kickstarter, gained the Kickstarter Projects We Love Badge and at the end the fourteen day campaign reaching over 1477% of it's funding goal.

Prototype V0.5
Food Themed Game Night!
To celebrate initial creation of the game, I hosted a launch party at the Sabbatical Gallery. Event-goers were able to play both the dice and videogame, as well as a variety of food-themed games. I organised the event, reached out to sponsors for prizes and beers, and held the inaugural Fire Noodle Eating Champs Dice Game tournament!
Aussie Convention Tour
I made some prototype copies and took the game to conventions around Australia. I got to playtest and showcase the game to hundreds of people and received great responses and feedback from the public!
🍜 Noodle Wall
During the convention tour, I created a marketing campaign allowing attendees to draw and create their own fire noodles. I end up taking these creations to make a Noodle Wall as part of the booth exhibition.
Kickstarter Launch Party
After the conventions, I hosted a live launch event to kickoff the Kickstarter campaign in Sydney at Game Plus. I organised the event, reached out to sponsors and put on a game night featuring a dice game tournament to crown the first Fire Noodle Eating Champ! At the event we launched the Kickstarter live and reached the initial funding goal in under 2 hours and 30 minutes.
